Night Fishing The Boag
My buddy and i wanted to do some night fishing Friday night.
We went to quaboag pond around 7:45. I cruised across the lake to a weedy area that i like to start at. We fan casted without any sign of life for a bit continuously moving. Shortly after i threw my chartreuse buzz-bait of a point i had my 1st bass. Next cast SNAP! i lost my lure. So i tied on my 2nd buzz-bait. SNAP! WTF! Now i had to borrow a black buzz-bait from my buddy. SO we continued around the corner and the action was minimal. So we decided to try and make it to S. pond under the bridge. We couldn't fit so i just decided to fish my way back out. Immediately i had a decent fish but i couldn't see where it was and he went right and i thought it was going left. She came off! 2 cast later a swirl and game on again! I couldn't tell the weight i think it was swimming at me then she almost yanked the rod outa my hand. It turned out to be a nice 4.12 large mouth! We made a move to the ramp and decided shortly after 10:30 it was time to head home. Not a ton of fish caught but we managed 3 fish weighing 7.32 lbs.
ALLRIGHT JAY !
I was ALL OVER your area today--took a few casts at the '67' launch...took a quick look over at your 'back-yard'...nice lake...cut back down to White's Landing. . .HamiltonRes. sucked without a boat.Me n Bri'll look ya up one of these times out there
I'd love to do some night fishing at Quaboag, but I'd be worried about the toothy critter brigade!
