Comment: This reservoir has been a testing site for TXPWD many many years. The average depth is 10ft to 15ft. The deepest is 30ft near the man made dam. This location is a Large and Small mouth bass and croppie Heaven. There is not only large amounts of vegetation top and bottom there is a variety of structures.. To fish this location you have to put into account the weather, wind and temp just like any other body of water. There is of course a struggle and a fight to fish through the top vegetation and weeds. There are lines of cypress trees northbound smack in the middle of the lake and also island on the east side of the reservior. Fishing the cypress trees is more of a jig situation or you can go for a spinner bait. Lures color is judge by water color and also temp. The secret about fishing the islands is to only fish the side that is facing the east side facing the main body of the lake. If you use live minnows thin be ready to use heavy line a bobber and go about 2 feet from the service. Look for the holes in the weeds on the surface and get ready. Regardless of what goes on this lake can become a fight at noon do to the wind.. any other questions just email me.
