PJ and I were out to a private lake after work yesterday at 5:30pm. Got there with the thunderstorms. As we waited for the lightning to leave, we got to watch a few does walk out from behind a house. It was about 15 minutes till we started to fish in the rain from shore. PJ landed a small bass on the first cast and a fish was hooked at least every 5 minutes or less. I had a fish chewing on a frog for a while until I made some changes to it allowing the hooks to set. After making the change on the frog, I switched to a Zara Spook and hooked more fish. As the rain moved out I got tired of fishing from under the trees.

At around 6:30 we headed out onto the lake, we headed over to the island and fished the main house side and worked around the island. The fishing was unreal and we lost count of how many fish were landed and lost. We figure we both landed around 30 fish each and lost about 20 each. We had on at least 6 doubles over the night of fishing.

PJ fished a rubber worm all night; I fished all sorts of lures from frogs, spin baits, Zara spooks, poppers, crank baits, and popper flies. Everything worked. All the fish caught were on the smaller size and over abundant.

All in all it was a great night of fishing for us since PJ is less the two weeks out of surgery on his stomach. And we also found were our boat is leaking from and will be an easy fix.
